"I have known Bill Hayes since we were freshmen together at Capital university in the fall of 1962. Bill was an outstanding student who was very respected for his personal decorum and discipline. After graduation, Bill became a teacher of mathematics and was very successful while attaining his M.A. from The Ohio State University. At this point, Bill changed careers and began working at Lucent Technology while earning his law degree. He has served on both the Reynoldsburg and Southwestern Boards of Education. He established a very successful law practice and title agency in the Pataskala area. Most importantly, Bill and his wife Carolyn have raised three fine children. His two sons are both lawyers and practice in Licking County. His daughter is a teacher in Wisconsin. This background makes Bill eminently qualified to serve the citizens of the 91st District for the Ohio General Assembly. At every stop - student, teacher, lawyer and father, Bill has exhibited the same qualities: integrity, empathy, compassion and hard work.
